This research cluster aims to derive new understandings from intergenerational and intercultural perspectives on factors and histories that have led to the current landscape in which the racialized population in Canada experiences racism and discrimination in policing. The cluster also explores the theme of justice more broadly.
Theatre and Immigration: Expectations, Belonging and Identity.
This research cluster focuses on artistic and creative means for newcomer youth populations and their families who identify with equity-owed communities to investigate their resettlement process, belonging, and identity through the lens of anti-oppressive and anti-racist frameworks.
Devised Theatre, Ethics and Performance.
This theme explores ways devised theatre and performance creation can decolonize practice and interrogate social issues.
