Canada Research Chair in Socially Engaged Theatre.

The CRC.

The Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Socially Engaged Theatre expresses itself in different folds through:

  • Devising, as a method of theatre-making or performance creation in which the script or performance is generated through a collaborative process, fosters multi perspectives, builds capacity, and creates shared understanding. Through devising, we align with the Theatre Department’s new program on Devised Theatre and Performance.
  • Collaboration and relationship building: Intercultural, international, intersectional, inter-generational and inter-disciplinary.
  • Participation/Co-creation:Create a nurturing environment where participants can become co-creators of their shared future through research and creative methods that enable.
